DESCRIPTION

The Huichol people create art usually by pressing beads or yarn into beeswax that has been spread onto wood.  These beaded pieces have foundations of various media. Details about each is included with dimensions.  Click also to see Huichol skulls.

DIMENSIONS

Eclipse- 12.25" diameter x 1" deep.  Signed Guadalupe                        Carrillo M.  On carved wood.
Gourd Bowl- 3" H x 7.75" diameter  Discolored area in                  center shows where wax has bled through the beads.
Frame- 9" H x 6.75" W x 5" deep  Notice a few missing                beads at the very top. On wood.
Lizard- .5" H x 6" L x 3" W  On carved wood.
Egg Ornaments- 3.5" H x 2.5" diameter and 2.5" H x 2"                  diameter.  On styrofoam.
