DESCRIPTION

These large ladies of the evening are made of hand coiled and painted clay by Josefina Aguilar of Oaxaca. They are done in her old style--notice the holes on the torso put in the soft clay to allow these large pieces to breathe while being fired. Also notice on the second figure, the base was broken and repaired by the artist. As seen in the first picture, these make quite a striking set. After that, each row houses pictures of the same piece. Because these are large clay pieces, they will require a professional art packer and shipper which will be expensive.
