DESCRIPTION

Ramos Filemon is famous for his paintings on wood. In #8  and # 19 retablos, he has used an old windows to create a retablo.   These (except #12) are tableros (tableaus) in which the wooden setting is created by the artist for the painting (although, it may be created using old wood.)  #12 is a  batea (bowl shape) carved and painted by the artist.  Though most of these are unsigned, signed pieces are noted in the dimensions section.
