Vendor Dolls

Updated October 3, 2006

Any trip to Mexico will encounter the Mexican vendor--on the street, at the beach, at the top of the pyramid of the sun--selling nearly anything, but often things they have created themselves.  But at Christmas, vendors are everywhere, selling even more.  Have you  perused this site long enough yet to know how much we love and value the ingenuity, artistry, playfulness, and sense of humor of the Mexican people? Often even the method employed by a vendor to carry and display their wares is inventive and beautiful.  Is it any surprise then to see the Mexican folk artist celebrating the artistry of the vendor?
