DESCRIPTION

Ex Votos (also called retablos) are painted tin, usually thanking a saint for giving the painter a miracle. The Vilchis family of ex-voto artists is becoming popular for the clear painting style and both touching and humorous subject matter.  They are commissioned by others to paint ex-votos commemorating miracles and expressing gratitude. The translation on these is rough.
